How did you begin reviewing for other journals and for JBJS in particular?

As I became more involved in academics, specifically in publishing my own work, I also became involved in the peer review process for several journals. This was both to participate in the peer review process as well as to learn more about what makes a good or bad manuscript, study design, and how to better improve my own work.

How do you maintain a healthy work/life balance?

Make time for family as much as possible. Learn not to say yes to everything offered.

Aside from orthopaedic manuscripts, what have you been reading lately?

Codman’s text The Shoulder from 1934, just recently published for reprint.
