How did you begin reviewing for other journals and for JBJS in particular?

I started reviewing with Journal of Arthroplasty through a mentorship program.

What is your top piece of advice for reviewers who aspire to reach Elite status?

Develop a system for reviewing articles and be efficient in returning reviews.

What is your favorite tip or tool for maintaining a healthy work/life balance?

Do your best to minimize the parts of work that you dislike so work is fun and not a chore.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Last fall I did a traveling fellowship through AAHKS and the Women in Arthroplasty Committee. I gained confidence in my own skills and practice, learned a lot, and grew my community and network.

Aside from orthopaedic manuscripts, what have you been reading lately?

I’ve been reading about performance—Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin and Peak by Anders Ericsson and Robert Pool.
