The Board of Trustees of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery is very happy to announce that Jason Miller has been selected as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2024.
Jason’s unique qualifications for this role are derived from more than 25 years of experience in the medical publishing field. Jason first joined JBJS as the Executive Publisher in 2015 and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2019. Before joining JBJS, he held a variety of leadership positions at several organizations, including Elsevier, Cell Press, Nature Publishing Group, and Blackwell Publishing.
At this exciting time of extraordinary change in medical publishing, the Board is confident that Jason’s vision and wealth of experience will be instrumental in moving the organization forward into a new era through a sustained focus on editorial excellence, continuous innovation, technological advancement, and improved operational efficiency.
As always, Jason’s primary focus will be to further the JBJS mission of improving musculoskeletal care across the globe by delivering gold-standard scientific content and educational resources that will benefit readers, authors, clinicians, medical students, and patients alike.
