Years in practice:
How did you begin reviewing for other journals and for JBJS in particular?
Not exactly sure but I have been doing it for more than 15 years for a number of journals, including JBJS, JPO, CORR, Lancet, Bulletin WHO, World J Surgery, and others.
What has been the highlight of your career (so far)?
Contributing to teaching and patient care in a number of resource-challenged environments, which has given me enormous insight into managing different types of pathology and also an appreciation for the importance of systems for delivering care. Winning humanitarian awards from POSNA, SRS, and AAOS.
Aside from orthopaedic manuscripts, what have you been reading lately?
Books on the history of the North-West Frontier of British India, now Pakistan.
