How did you begin reviewing for other journals and for JBJS in particular?
Initially asked by a senior mentor (F.H. Sim) to assist him with reviews; things expanded from there.
What is your top piece of advice for reviewers who aspire to reach Elite status?
I evaluate each manuscript to see if it has a focused message and an incremental contribution to the clinical literature.
How do you maintain a healthy work/life balance?
I don’t think I am very good at this.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
The patients I have cared for and the residents/fellows I work with.
Aside from orthopaedic manuscripts, what have you been reading lately?
Sixth grade math to help my daughters with their homework!
