How did you begin reviewing for other journals and for JBJS in particular?
I was mentored by my then chairs Drs. Marc Swiontkowski and Peter Cole to get involved in JBJS reviewing. It has been a wonderful learning experience.
What is your top piece of advice for reviewers who aspire to reach Elite status?
Try your best to allocate adequate time early within the first week and focus on the project.
What is your favorite tip or tool for maintaining a healthy work/life balance?
Knowing my limits and prioritizing the tasks.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Becoming a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, teaching residents and fellows, and being blessed to be able to take care of patients with less resources.
Aside from orthopaedic manuscripts, what have you been reading lately?
Scriptures.
