How do you maintain a healthy work/life balance?
Work life balance involves staying organized while managing family, social, and work events. Having a set of hobbies and personal interests helps counter balance the stressors of work.
What has been the highlight of your career (so far)?
As a faculty member of an orthopaedic residency program, seeing individual residents grow into their specialties is choice is extremely gratifying. Having the opportunity to mentor young surgeons in training is fulfilling, as well.
Why do you think social media is important in orthopaedics? And how do you use it in your practice/career?
Social media is important in orthopaedics because it serves multiple purposes. It helps disseminate information to the general public, serves as a means of networking with professional colleagues, acts as a medium to exchange ideas and spread the word about career and life highlights. I use social media to help raise awareness about orthopaedic surgical clinical concerns and educate myself about various new techniques that advance our field.
