JBJS extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Thomas Einhorn for his 13 years of expert leadership as Editor of JBJS Reviews. As Founding Editor, Dr. Einhorn was instrumental to the successful 2013 launch of JBJS Reviews and subsequently played a pivotal role in helping to guide the journal’s growth as a “go-to” source of authoritative, evidence-based review articles providing key insights into orthopaedic research and clinical experience. Dr. Sanjeev Sabharwal is succeeding Dr. Einhorn in the role of JBJS Reviews Editor starting this month.
The orthopaedic community has benefited greatly from Dr. Einhorn’s leadership, dedication, and vision, as is noted in an upcoming editorial by Dr. Mo Bhandari, JBJS Editor-in-Chief, and Dr. Marc Swiontkowski, Editorial Consultant and former Editor-in-Chief. On Dr. Einhorn’s tenure as Reviews editor, “his clear distinction of Systematic Reviews based on rigorous methodology, the introduction of the innovative Team Approach articles, and the careful cultivation of Narrative Review and Critical Analysis Review articles have advanced the dissemination of musculoskeletal knowledge to our community,” writes Dr. Swiontkowski in the editorial.
JBJS Reviews is a continuously published online journal providing timely articles by recognized experts in the field. Comprehensive reviews, special features, and integrated CME provide orthopaedic surgeons with valuable perspectives on surgical practice and the latest advances in the field within 17 subspecialty areas.
